What I offer

I work closely with each school/Trust to understand their vision, values, and ethos and to tailor my services to their individual needs. Some key areas of my consultancy services are outlined below. However, I welcome working on new projects and support activities. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Testimonials

  • Lindsay has facilitated training sessions for our Early Career Programme since 2020 and been a real asset to our team. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and mentor sessions are well-planned, carefully considered, and delivered smoothly. Lindsay has been careful to exemplify the research underpinning the programme, to enrich materials, and to describe strategies using her own wealth of experience and expertise. As a result, ECTs and Mentors feel well-supported and fully informed.

    — Amy Tapscott, Professional Development Director, Pickwick Academy Trust and Pickwick Learning

  • I found Lindsay a splendid strategic partner... She showed a clear and deep understanding of how consultancy can best facilitate change and improvement. ... Lindsay also demonstrated her profound understanding of the important contribution research engagement has to make to teacher and school development. Her experience and expertise have given her an in-depth of understanding and empathy with the needs of teachers and schools.

    — Prof. Graham Handscomb, Honorary Professor, University College London (UCL)

  • I have been very privileged to have Lindsay as my mentor and line manager for a significant number of years. During that time, she helped shape the teacher I became, instilling a confidence and skillset I needed to become a successful senior teacher and arts leader. Her expert guidance aided me in applying for arts funding and planning enrichment projects that benefitted numerous children. Lindsay has an excellent ability to work alongside educators, setting attainable goals, listening carefully, and empathising with the demands of challenging situations in a school setting.

    — Sandra Dixon, Senior Teacher and Arts Leader

  • The training was informative, engaging, and delivered in a warm, relatable style. Lindsay had a great balance of sharing information and knowledge, and also facilitated quality discussion amongst the audience. Her use of thought-provoking questions provided opportunities for reflection with colleagues, and enabled me to consider what that meant for me as a leader, as well as for the wider team.

    — Deputy Headteacher/Training Delegate

  • It was amazing to have Lindsay’s help and support. She has a real depth of knowledge and uses current research, best practices, and her own experience when providing guidance... She has effectively supported professional development in the school, which has positively impacted the teaching and learning and directly contributed to the improved outcomes for children… Through her coaching and mentoring, she used a combination of asking purposeful questions and challenging my thinking, which enabled the formulation of a clear action plan. I want to say a huge thank you.

    — SENCO/Assistant Headteacher

  • Lindsay provided coaching and mentoring for my senior leadership team. Her approach was to understand where each of the leaders was in their leadership skills development journey and to work with them individually to make improvements in their practice. They valued her calm and patient approach, built on personal research and evidence-based strategies. Each made great strides in their development, empowered and enthused by this personalised professional journey.

I value her no-nonsense approach; I could always rely on her complete honesty, coupled with her care, warmth, and support. — Head of School

  • We booked Lindsay to deliver some training on the role of the TA and maximising its impact on teaching and learning. Lindsay took the time to come and meet with the SLT before planning the session which was much-appreciated. It was also clear that Lindsay had done background research to get a firm understanding on our school and help tailor her session. As a result, the training itself was top-quality and exactly what we needed.

    — Deputy Headteacher

  • Lindsay clearly has very sound knowledge of SEND, the current challenges schools are facing, and strategies to use to help maximise the resources available and best support the children with their learning. It was a fantastic session and we will definitely be booking Lindsay for future training.
